Previously, Crowe-Jackson was the Senior Director, Office of Patient Experience and Service Excellence, at University of Colorado Health, a not-for-profit health care system headquartered in Aurora, Colorado.
A Certified Patient Experience Professional, Crowe-Jackson holds a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Management from University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.

Susan Murphy, RN, MS, CXP joined the University of Chicago Medicine in 2013 and currently serves as the System Chief Experience Officer. Prior to her role at UCM, Sue was the Vice President of Patient Experience for Vanguard Health in Chicago, where she led experience strategies that improved system-wide patient engagement scores for inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. Methods of success included mentoring and streamlining accountability with hourly rounding, nursing leadership rounding, comfort rounds and post-hospitalization callbacks. Sue also provides coaching to physicians, frontline staff and leadership for improving outcomes and best practices to ensure continuous improvement. Sue is a published author and has been invited to speak at over 20 patient experience focus conferences since 2013. In 2018, Sue was presented with the Kate Granger Compassionate Care Award by HIMSS for always leading with her heart and putting patients at the center of care.
